Luciano Matheron began his artistic endeavors through his experimental theater work in Europe in the 1970s and continued doing so upon his arrival in Madison, Wisconsin in 1981. He has lived in Madison since then. He started filming using video in 1987. Since then he has, in collaboration with educators, media professionals, artists, peace and other social activists, as well as children and youth, created hundreds of documentaries, news stories, artistic and experimental videos as well as different for-hire projects (list available upon request). He also has experience in conducting workshops, primarily for youth.

His videos have been shown and continue to be shown on WYOU, Madison's Community Access TV station (non-commercial), as well as on MAT A (WYOU's counterpart) in Milwaukee. He also contributed to the "Gulf Crisis Project" produced by Deep Dish TV in New York City that was aired internationally. Local mainstream media sometimes uses his work.
